Hello Tired Mother,

If you're here I am guessing you may be experiencing some of the following.

  • You're very sensitive to the stresses of the world.      
  • Now that your kids are older, your role as mother is shifting, and you're trying to make sense of what that means for you. 
  • You crave authenticity, meaning, connection, purpose, and that inner knowing that you're on your right path far more than having it all be perfect. 
  • You’ve always been passionate, with lots of dreams, hopes, and wants for yourself, your family, and the world, but now you just aren't sure what's next. 
  • You're ready to restore yourself, do some soul searching, and actually start something new or maybe even do some of the things you've put on hold.

​Hi, I’m Abby, a trauma-informed somatic coach and mom to two emerging adults.

I'll guide you to navigate stress and anxiety as your kids get older, embrace who you are, and begin in a new direction (in addition to being a mom) and you'll get nervous system support all along the way. 

After intentionally giving much of my everything to mothering for years, trying to create what culture wasn't providing for my kids, working and volunteering in ways that weren't sustainable, and suffering the loss of both of my parents in a short time frame, I found myself feeling deeply exhausted, hopeless, and full of grief, and asking myself what now? I had lost my vision for the future and had no idea what to do. 

Over time and with support, I've realized that in order to feel strong and secure within myself, I must intentionally resource my nervous system, seek out the good in life, embrace and express all my feelings (especially the difficult ones), and tend to all my parts. I've learned to build the inner capacity of my nervous system through somatic exercises, connection with others, nature, and so much more. I've learned to hold space for my own grief and my own joy. There's room for both and the process is far from over. 

I've realized that allowing and accepting life as it is and living in alignment with my truth and values are my biggest priorities. In this way, and in knowing all the parts of me so much better, I can truly live a more empowered life and have more capacity to show up for myself and others and what I care about most. I've learned that being in alignment with my truth and living my values are what enhances my wellbeing and is far more important than seeking perfection.

Over this chapter I've been studying trauma, somatic/mind-body coaching, polyvagal theory, soul's calling coaching, and the science of well-being (positive psychology).
